If you think today’s modern smartphones are too big, then take a look at the new Palm device heading to Australia – it’s a shrunken down smartphone that’s small enough to fit in your pocket or your purse.
It is one of a range of products heading our way from TCL, the Alcatel parent company, which will also include a new kids smartwatch and a tablet/speaker system.
The Palm has a 3.3-inch display and is running a full version of Android so you can still run all your favourite apps and browse the web.
It’s designed to be your second phone or your weekend phone. Users can simply transfer their SIM card to the device whenever they need to use it.
It is water and dust resistant and has a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
It will be priced at about $700.
Also coming is the new Family Watch – a 4G connected smartwatch they will even allow users to make video calls.
It’s ideal for kids who want to keep in touch with their parents and ideal for parents who want peace of mind.
Another device coming to market later this year is a tablet and speaker combination which can be used together or separate products.
The tablet can sit in a dock on top of the speaker so you can get rich sound when watching a movie.
We can expect all of these devices in Australia in the second half of 2019.
